David Gershen


David Gershen is a CFO with vast hands-on experience across healthcare and IT. His areas of expertise include financial reporting, KPIs, budgeting, M&As, and executive leadership.

David Gershen brings over 30 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer for healthcare and IT services companies first as a full-time employee and now an Interim/fractional CFO. As a key member of executive leadership, David has helped devise the growth strategies and then led the operationalization of these strategies by ensuring the financial and administrative processes are in place for success.

Financial reporting, KPI development and monitoring, and budgeting are David’s specialties. David has extensive M&A experience both on the buy and sell-side as well as leading the integration of the acquired companies. David has worked for Private Equity as well as public and private companies.

David’s interim engagements include work for a life sciences cell manufacturer, a multi-location practice manager of ERs, and a non-healthcare SaaS company in the repair and replace sector. His full-time CFO employment included managing a 5 entity, 8 location dermatology practice successfully navigating MSO and Corporate Practice of Medicine issues, a generic manufacturer of liquids, lotions, and creams, an HCIT company in the home care space, a public PBM, and a management consulting firm (APM). As a partner at APM, David helped lead the sale of the company to Computer Sciences Corporation where David was VP of F&A  for the healthcare division where he oversaw consulting, system integration, software development, and BPO services.

In addition to David’s business and financial acumen, his true superpower is his quick wit and dry sense of humor which has enabled him to work closely with and bring out the best in the people he has worked with throughout his career.

David holds a BS (graduating summa cum laude) in Business Administration and an MBA (graduating with honors) in finance both from Boston University.
