Evan O’Meara brings 17 years of People Operations and Talent Acquisition experience to his role as Head of People & Talent at Burkland.
Evan has led People & Talent teams at companies big and small, from startups to large, publicly traded organizations. Prior to joining Burkland, he served as VP of People & Talent at Wellframe, supporting business growth through multiple funding rounds and a successful acquisition. During his six years at Wellframe, Evan oversaw Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, HR Operations & Total Rewards, Culture and Employee Engagement, and Facilities. Evan also served as Head of Talent Acquisition at athenahealth, leading a global team that scaled the organization from 3,000 to 5,500 employees during a period of rapid company growth. Prior to athenahealth, Evan built Wayfair’s Talent Acquisition function from the ground up, serving as the company’s first Recruiter, and building and leading a global talent team who grew the business from 200 Boston-based employees to 2,000 global employees during his six year tenure.
In his role at Burkland, Evan is responsible for attracting, engaging, and developing the talent that makes Burkland an industry leader. He earned his BA in Public Relations at Quinnipiac University, and Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
