Your Typical, Atypical, Day
Working largely independently, apply knowledge, experience, insight, and competence to partner strategically with clients in various industries such as Fintech, Crypto/Blockchain/NFT, SaaS, Consumer, and Healthcare.
This role has variety at its core. From presenting at investor meetings to building financial models for clients, no day will be a “typical day” (hence the typical, atypical day).
You will help bridge the gap between legacy financial thinking and new blockchain-based ecosystems, functions and capital flows.
You will be supporting our startup clients who need high-level finance help but may not have a need for a full-time internal CFO at their current stage.
You will be working with a variety of clients, so the ability to context shift, communicate, prioritize and evaluate needs is the most important thing you’ll be doing in this role.
You will be managing the entire Finance function for your clients, so you’ll want to be comfortable managing a team.

You can lead client fundraising efforts – evaluating the size of a fundraising round, model cap table scenarios/dilution, assist with pitch deck preparation, facilitate investor introductions, and participate in investor pitches.

The Role
Our team’s Bookkeeper will be responsible for client financial statements, bookkeeping, accounting software management, and journal entries. The role will involve day-to-day tasks related to maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing payments, and generating financial reports.
A Day in the Life
Performing bookkeeping and general accounting services for clients.
Completing and reviewing month-end work (reconciliation of bank accounts, post cash receipts and cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, calculating and recording monthly accruals, recording journal entries, preparing financial statements, reviewing G/L detail to be sure sufficient information is provided for preparation of year-end returns).
Maintaining positive client relationships.
Responding timely and accurately to internal team and client requests.

You have or are in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or something similar, or 2-3 years of progressive experience.
Experience with financial statements, bookkeeping, and accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Xero.
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
