Sohail is a Division Lead for Insurance-Agency at Burkland, and he has over 25 years of experience in finance and audit functions. He has in-depth knowledge of operations, internal controls, accounting, and management. Sohail started his career working with a “Big 4” public accounting firm where he was exposed to various renowned industries performing audits and providing advisory / consulting services on financial reporting matters. He then moved on to become a part of the finance function at several well-known public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Burkland, Sohail managed his own accounting services practice.
He is an expert in GAAP compliance including the application of new revenue recognition and leasing standards, as well as process improvement, IT General Controls, SOX, internal auditing, and consolidations. Sohail is a highly effective communicator with strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
