Richard comes to Burkland with over three decades of financial and operations experience in technology companies. He held numerous Chief Financial Officer positions, most recently for eASIC Corporation, a private, venture-backed fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Santa Clara, CA where he was responsible for all Financial, Legal, Human Resources and IT functions. Richard partnered with the CEO and Board to complete a preferred financing round, file the Company’s S-1 registration statement and amendments, and completed the Company’s sale to Intel in August 2018.
Prior to eASIC, Richard was SVP, Finance and CFO at Fujitsu America Inc., responsible for all Financial, Compliance and IT functions for the $1.1B North American operating company of Fujitsu, Ltd. Before Fujitsu, Richard was the VP of Finance and CFO for Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., a publicly-traded Fortune 500 technology company. He also held finance positions at Tandem Computers and PWC.
His expertise includes experience with high-growth, venture-backed startups such as Polycom, Inc. where he was Vice President of Finance and Treasurer from its days as a start-up through the achievement of $500 Million in Revenue. Richard has presented at numerous investor conferences in the US and Europe, as well as several CFO Roundtables in Silicon Valley.
