Jeff has over 25 years of experience in finance leadership roles, helping companies with strategic planning, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, modeling, treasury, cash management, revenue recognition, corporate governance, equity compensation, and contract negotiations.

Prior to joining Burkland as a Fractional CFO, Jeff held several Chief Financial Officer positions. Specifically, he was the CFO of HealthCrowd, an end- to end healthcare communications solution that empowers organizations to unify, automate and optimize multimodal outreach to deliver member-centric engagement at scale, in a risk-managed way. Before that, Jeff was the CFO at Apixio, which uses predictive analytics to develop a connected world where medical information becomes liquid, enabling hosts of existing and new technology providers to move, transact, search, analyze and display medical information. Prior to that, he was VP Division Finance Officer at CoreLogic (CLGX), a provider of property information, analytics and services in the US and Australia. Before that, he was the VP of Finance and Administration at Dorado, a provider of intelligent SaaS solutions and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) architecture to the financial services industry primarily in the consumer lending area, which was acquired by CoreLogic. Jeff was also VP of Finance and Accounting at Epocrates in San Mateo, which provided mobile drug reference tools and electronic health records to healthcare professionals and interactive services to the healthcare industry.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles, and an MBA from California State University at Hayward. He is also a Certified Public Accountant with an active California license.
