Debbie Rosler’s Biography

Debbie Rosler has over 20 years of finance leadership experience with companies in a broad range of industries and sizes, from early-stage start-ups to Fortune 500 Companies.   She joined Burkland in 2014 and has been the fractional CFO for numerous clients, with a particular focus on venture-backed enterprise SaaS companies.  Her engagements cover everything from financial modeling and strategic planning to venture funding, forecasting, cash flow management, Board and investor presentations, international expansion, financial controls, and KPI development.  In addition, Debbie is a regular contributor to Burkland’s blog, the Smarter Startup, and a frequent speaker on panels and webinars focused on the successful financial management of startups.  

Prior to Burkland, Debbie held leadership positions with Levi Strauss & Co. in FP&A, Corporate Strategy, and Business Process Improvement. As Senior Director of Corporate FP&A, she led the corporate finance and planning function, developed global management reporting and KPIs to support executive decisions, and managed the annual financial planning process. As Director of Corporate Strategy, she led the company’s long-range planning process.  Debbie also led financial planning for the Dockers Women business and was instrumental in driving a business turnaround.  In addition, Debbie also held Finance and Corporate Development roles at a few venture-backed technology start-ups.  She began her career as an Investment Banking analyst with Smith Barney, and she also worked as a Private Equity analyst with Frontenac Company.

Ms. Rosler received an MBA from Stanford University and a BBA from the University of Michigan, graduating with High Distinction. When not working, she can be found with her husband chasing around their two young sons and hiking in the Bay area.
