The Role

As an Accounting Team Manager, your role will involve leading a team of SaaS accounting consultants and overseeing operations specific to helping our venture-backed startup clients succeed.

Your Typical, Atypical, Day

  • Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Assess, evaluate, and review data to organize work following company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, and all stakeholders.
  • Prepare engagement progress and status reports for the leadership team and clients.
  • Identify and work to resolve gaps in process or project execution.
  • Develop long-term relationships with existing clients, connecting with leadership team members and stakeholders.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in an accounting and consulting-related field with previous people and process management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing accounting team members.
  • You are naturally curious and a problem-solver. You’re someone who likes to learn and is eager to take on new challenges, especially when it comes to cutting-edge technology and emerging industries.
  • You lead with integrity in all that you say and do.
  • You take the initiative and jump at the opportunity to explore new ways of doing things.
  • You take an acutely accurate approach to your work and look forward to the parts of your job that require analytical thinking.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and communicate effectively with internal team and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on quality and process.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with team members, both senior and junior.
    Strong working knowledge of software is key in this role. Daily, you’ll be using the entire G-Suite, Quickbooks online, Ramp, Expensify + Concur. You’ll also be using Zoom and other video conferencing tools to facilitate client meetings.
  • Bonus points for any startup experience.

The base pay range target for the role described in this job description is $90,000 – $115,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition, full-time regular positions are eligible for, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time.
